Pitt United Way campaign to kick off Wednesday, Oct. 8

09/25/2014

Get ready for the Pitt United Way campaign to kick off Wednesday, October 8! Members of the Pitt community can give, advocate or volunteer to help make an impact in the lives of people in need in the Pittsburgh region. Although the campaign officially begins on Oct. 8, there's still time to register for the Day of Caring on Thursday, October 2 (deadline: Sunday, Sept. 28).

In June 2014, Pitt received a "Best of the Best Award" from the United Way of Allegheny County. The 2013 campaign was the fourth consecutive year that Pitt broke its own fundraising records. Pitt has raised more than $10 million since 1997.

To follow the action, look for #pittunitedway on the University's official Facebook and Twitter accounts. The iSchool's United Way representatives are Sharon Bindas, Carolyn Loether and Debbie Day. Contact them to learn more about how you can get involved in United Way at Pitt!
