iSchool welcomes our Board of Visitors: Sept. 22 & 23

09/19/2014

The University of Pittsburgh’s School of Information Sciences is delighted to welcome our Board of Visitors for the annual meeting on Monday, September 22 and Tuesday, September 23. The Board of Visitors recommends both long-term strategies and short-term projects and is comprised of innovative leaders in higher education and industry from across the nation.

This year, we welcome Mary Frances Cooper, President and Director of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (CLP), who joins us as the newest member of our Board. The 2014 meeting will focus on the strategic future of the iSchool, and particularly to providing shape to the next five years. We have contracted with Grove Consultants to provide graphical facilitation of the meeting and inspire brainstorming, critical thinking and pragmatic outcomes for our discussion.

As we are currently in the midst of a branding and visioning exercise led by local firm Elliance, we expect the results of this Board meeting to further inform and enrich the work we are undertaking to that end. We are grateful to have such a wonderful Board and look forward to welcoming those who can attend next week!
