Calling all undergraduates, master's and doctoral students! The iSchool is hosting its first digital poster competition during the week of iFest 2015. The rules are a bit different from other poster competitions, so download the Call for Posters and review the information below. In order to participate you must RSVP by completing this form.

- Submissions are due to Alyx Cole by Noon (12:00 p.m.) on Monday, February 2
- All posters will be presented digitally on the third floor beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3
Competition Rules
- Posters can be about a current or completed research project OR a proposed research project/topic
- A maximum of 2 people can design, present and pitch the poster
- Posters must include the following mandatory sections:
a) Introduction/Overview
b) Methods (Proposed Methods if you haven't begun the project yet)
c) Results (Hypothesized Outcomes if you haven't begun the project yet)
d) Broader community and environmental impact (most important criteria for judges)
e) Conclusions and Future Directions (Summary and Future Directions if you haven't begun the project yet)
f) Reference list
Judging Criteria
- Printouts of posters (8.5x14") will be available for judges and audience members to review
- Judging will consist of 2 equally weighted components: the poster design and the poster pitch
- Students will have 2 minutes to "pitch" their poster with an emphasis on criteria (d) Broader community and environmental impact
- Students will have 2 minutes to field questions from the audience immediately following their pitch
- Faculty members from each program will judge the posters and will award 1st and 2nd prizes
- Audience members (not participants!) and faculty/staff (who aren't judges!) will be voting on the 'audience choice' poster
